Yedidya Administrator Job Description

Yedidya Academy at ICCJ is actively seeking a dynamic leader to play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and expansion of our religious  school. 

Qualifications: 

  • Have a strong background in Jewish Education and administration;

  • Be skilled in working with staff, lay leaders, parents and children;

  • Be committed to fostering an environment where students and families can build lasting relationships and see themselves as part of a vibrant congregational family;

  • Be tech savvy with strong computer skills and a familiarity with social media platforms; and

  • Be familiar and comfortable with Conservative Judaism and egalitarian religious practices.


Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of curriculum as laid out by the Director of Education;

  • Foster an environment where students and families can build lasting relationships;

  • Attend and actively participate in administrative meetings and other relevant gatherings;

  • Structure classes and schedules based on ages and skill levels of students;

  • Help to coordinate & support student and family enrichment programs;

  • Manage the budget and purchases of textbooks, supplies and materials, in coordination with the Education Director;

  • Maintain an accessible calendar of events and manage a strong social media presence and webpage for the school;

  • Respond to all school-related phone calls, emails, text messages or letters within 48 hours of receipt;

  • Handle record keeping and communication with families; have teachers track and report student progress and/or problems; 

  • Send weekly school e-blasts and community updates; and

  • Communicate building needs to security and facilities personnel.

The new leader will help launch the Yedidya Academy program for the 2024-2025 school year.
