Congresswoman Grace Meng hosted the White House’s new liaison to the American Jewish community, Shelley Greenspan, for a tour of her congressional district Wednesday, Oct. 19. This tour comes after Greenspan was appointed to the position by President Joe Biden last July.
“I want to thank Shelley Greenspan for spending the afternoon in Queens, meeting with local Jewish leaders and engaging in a meaningful and productive discussion with them,” Meng said. “I was honored to have the opportunity to organize this visit so that the President’s White House Jewish liaison could see firsthand the wonderful and vibrant Jewish community that I am proud to represent in Congress. From fighting and advocating for the Jewish community to combating the rise in antisemitism, I look forward to continuing to work with Shelley on addressing crucial issues of mutual concern. I hope she comes back soon.”
